Kavita Singh, a senior medical professional with expertise in healthcare product development and the R&D ecosystem, has been with DNDi since August 2021. With a diverse career spanning the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, government, and non-profit sectors, she has led technical teams and collaborated with government, non-government, and international organizations. She joined DNDi’s Executive Team in January 2025 as Continental Lead for Asia.

As Mission Director of the National Biopharma Mission at BIRAC, a Public Sector Undertaking under the Department of Biotechnology, she played a key role in advancing the capacity and capability of India’s biotech sector through a partnership between the Government of India and the World Bank. She also led the Multi Vaccines Development Program, driving translational development of malaria vaccines and overseeing successful technology transfers, regulatory filings, and first-in-human clinical trials for novel malaria vaccine candidates.

During her time with the industry, she held leadership roles at Fortis Clinical Research, Ranbaxy Laboratories, and Shantha Biotechnics (Sanofi Healthcare India).

She holds an MBBS, an MD in Microbiology, an Executive Program in Business Management, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Epidemiology.
