Ivan Scandale

Ivan Scandale joined DNDi in April 2008 as a project coordinator. He has been responsible for projects ranging from early screening to late preclinical stage. In particular, he contributed to the discovery and development of acoziborole for sleeping sickness. He has also established a filarial discovery programme which provided a small pipeline of clinical candidates.

Prior to joining DNDi, Ivan has worked as an R&D scientist at TRB Chemedica, a Swiss medium-size pharmaceutical company active in ophthalmology, rheumatology, and neurology.

Ivan has a background in chemical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) and in industrial chemistry from the University of Genoa.
