An open letter from over 100 organizations, clinicians, and advocates was sent to Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), requesting his leadership and rapid action from WHO regarding the authorization and recommended use of COVID-19 rapid antigen detection tests for self-testing in low- and middle-income countries. DNDi was one of the signatories.
