In May 2022, the 75^th World Health Assembly adopted a resolution on Strengthening clinical trials to provide high-quality evidence on health interventions and to improve research quality and coordination, in which the first action requested of the Director-General was to organize, in a transparent manner, stakeholder consultations to obtain input from all relevant stakeholders so that these inputs can be consolidated into a report to be submitted to WHO’s Executive Board and the 76^th World Health Assembly in 2023.
