iNTRODB, is an integrated system for searching drug-target proteins from parasitic protozoa genomes that cause neglected tropical disease including leishmaniasis, Chagas’ disease and human African trypanosomiasis. The system enables searches for proteins which may be suitable targets for structure-based drug design, using publicly available data on genome sequences (TriTrypDB), protein structures (Protein Data Bank) and chemical compounds(ChEMBL).
iNTRODB has been developed under a research collaboration based on a non-profit consortium active in the field of Neglected Diseases, which consists of Japanese academic organizations and a pharmaceutical companies, including Tokyo Institute of Technology, University of Tokyo, and Astellas Pharma Inc.
