Jean-Marc Bouchez holds a Doctorate in medicine and a Masters in pharmaceutical marketing.
He practiced as doctor at the Infectious Diseases Department of the Treichville teaching hospital in Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire).
He worked at Sanofi as Head of the Antimalarials, Antibiotics and Antiparasitics Ranges for sub-Saharan Africa, as Medical Manager at the Access to Medicines Department and as Oncology Medical Science Liaison Manager for the southwest of France.
He then moved to Cephalon as Medical Director of International Operations covering Africa, Middle East, and south of Europe.
Today, he heads a Chinese pharmaceutical group in French-speaking Africa : Fosun Pharma. This company is the world leader in production of antimalarial drugs. It is part of the Fosun group which is the first private Chinese company listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Jean-Marc Bouchez is a founding member and the current president of the Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in French-speaking Africa, LIPA. This organization aims at improving health, ethical practices, and legislation in Africa.
