Reaching the Last Mile Forum is hosted by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, in partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Under the overarching theme ‘Accelerating the Pace’, the Forum convenes more than 250 preeminent global leaders to tackle issues central to infectious disease elimination and eradication, and highlight the importance of frontline health workers, philanthropy, advocacy, and partnerships. The Forum features a series of major announcements and bring together high-level speakers from government, private sector, and academia to discuss and share best practices on how to eliminate and eradicate infectious diseases.
The Forum also includes the presentation of the biennial Recognizing Excellence Around Champions of Health (REACH) Awards to three unique individuals from around the world who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership and commitment in the field of disease elimination.
