This dialogue will address gender disparities in neglected tropical disease research and treatment. Emphasizing the importance of including women in clinical trials, especially women of childbearing potential, the dialogue will promote gender-responsive strategies and equitable access to treatment.
It will also focus on empowering women in scientific leadership by identifying barriers they face and advocating for their increased representation as principal investigators. In collaboration with WomenLift Health and the Public Health Foundation of India, DNDi aims to explore gaps, build partnerships, and propose recommendations to ensure research protocols and strategies are guided by women’s insights and leadership in advancing gender equity in science.
