‘The Children of the Sierra’ was recorded in Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains of northern Colombia, where the Indigenous Wiwa people live with some of the highest rates of Chagas disease in the world.
Thanks to strong partnerships with local leaders and respecting traditional knowledge, meaningful progress is being made toward eliminating Chagas in one of Colombia’s most remote communities.
