Dr Pauline Williams, former Head of Global Health R&D at GSK, was recently appointed chair of DNDi’s Scientific Advisory Committee, composed of prominent drug development scientists and public health experts who provide independent and exclusively evidence-driven guidance on all DNDi R&D programmes. We sat down with Dr Williams to get her perspective on why the SAC’s scientific opinions are so crucial to our work – along with her views on non-profit medical R&D, current shifts in the global health innovation ecosystem, and how organizations like DNDi can tackle future challenges.
