Vijay Satam

Vijay Satam joined DNDi in June 2022 with responsibility for designing and executing Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) strategies for drug candidates in the DNDi portfolio. He was appointed Pharmaceutical Development Leader in January 2026.

Vijay has more than 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, leading end‑to‑end API manufacturing process development from pre‑clinical research through commercialisation. During this time, he built deep expertise in API process development and optimisation, GMP manufacturing, technology transfer, quality management, regulatory affairs, and cross‑functional project leadership. Prior to joining DNDi, he served as Section Head in the Process Chemistry Division at Eurofins Advinus Ltd., India.

Vijay holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Institute of Chemical Technology, India (2008), completed postdoctoral fellowship at Hope College, USA (2010–11), and earned an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore, India (2021). He has published more than twenty‑five papers in internationally recognised scientific journals.
