M&E, Data and Analytics Leader, DNDi
Olivier Thomas holds overall responsibility for Information Systems and Technology initiatives, driving data-centric and transformational programmes. He was appointed M&E, Data and Analytics Leader in January 2026.
With more than 20 years of experience in management roles across multinational organizations, Olivier has led complex programs in both public health and financial services sectors. At DNDi he oversees M&E, data governance and protection while leading major enterprise platforms including HRIS (Dynamics 365), CRM (Salesforce) and Business Intelligence solutions. He also acts as a strategic business partner to operational teams, ensuring technology initiatives support organizational impact and fundraising objectives.
Previously, Olivier headed IS&IT operations in a hospital environment, managing budget, security, governance and regulatory projects, and implementing best practices in IT governance and data management. At GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance, he held several senior roles ranging from BI project manager to PMO leadership, where he developed monitoring platforms assessing vaccination programs and subsidy management worth billions annually.
Olivier also gained private-sector experience as Global Programme Manager in regulatory banking software, coordinating large cross-continental teams and acting as trusted advisor to senior management. Earlier in his career he worked in consulting and software companies delivering enterprise solutions for major international clients.
He holds an engineering degree in computer science from ESIEA Paris, an MBA from the Open University (UK), and a DBA (Doctorate in Business Administration) from TBS. Olivier is PgMP® and PMP® certified and additionally certified in SAFe®.
