Mousumi Mondal

Mousumi Mondal joined DNDi team in July 2018 and has been managing Business Development and Alliance activities in South Asia. Mousumi has over two decades of cumulative experience in research and international partnership building in the area of biomedical research.

Prior joining to DNDi, Mousumi worked extensively within the life sciences ecosystem in India, building productive relationships across academia, biotech, pharma, and funding agencies. Mousumi briefly worked for the British Council, where she headed the higher education and research collaboration initiative between India and the United Kingdom. Mousumi has previously led multiple strategic collaborations and international programs supporting agriculture and health product development in South Asia during her stint in a consultancy firm.

Mousumi is a Cell Biologist by training. She earned her PhD from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and received postdoctoral research training at Weill Cornell Medicine (the medical college of Cornell University), New York. Mousumi is passionate about travel and has extensive volunteering experience, especially in Kashmir.
