Dr Kristine Husøy Onarheim is a medical doctor and global health researcher. Dr Onarheim’s research focus on priority setting, policy making, and governance in global health, including work on access to medicines, university health coverage, migration health, women’s health, and children’s health. She is an affiliated researcher at the Bergen Centre for Ethics and Priority Setting, University of Bergen, Norway. Dr Onarheim has been a research fellow at Institute of Global Health, University College London and visiting researcher at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Harvard University. As a medical doctor, she has clinical experience from Norway, Ethiopia, and India.
Dr Onarheim was a founding member of Universities Allied for Essential Medicines Norway, and has served on the board of Universities Allied for Essential Medicines Europe. She also was a founding member of the Lancet Youth Commission on Essential Medicines Policies.
