Head of Biostatistics, DNDi
Collins Mutua joined DNDi as Head of Biostatistics in May 2023 after having spent over 13 years with PHASTAR working as a statistician within the Functional Service Provision (FSP) model.
Collins has worked many years in the field of respiratory disease, notably discovering new drugs for the treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. He also worked in other disease areas, such as infectious, oncology, and chronic kidney disease.
Collins held various positions prior to joining DNDi, including heading up PHASTAR Kenya. Most recently, he served as Statistical Lead for an anti-viral monoclonal antibody for a COVID-19 treatment that GSK was developing in partnership with Vir Biotechnology.
Collins holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University and a Master’s degree in Statistics from Lancaster University.
