MedTrop 2025, the 60th Congress of the Brazilian Society of Tropical Medicine, brings together a diverse community of researchers, healthcare professionals, and students to address critical issues in tropical medicine and public health. The congress aims to foster scientific exchange and innovation in Latin America. The 2025 edition focuses on communicable diseases, including arboviruses and endemic vector-borne illnesses, antimicrobial resistance, strengthening health surveillance and primary care within Brazil’s Unified Health System, and strategies for responding to emerging pathogens with pandemic potential.
