A Paediatric HIV Roundtable with Industry was organized by DNDi in Dakar, Senegal on 24 October 2013 following the Conference on Paediatric Antiretroviral Drug Optimisation (PADO) organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) from 22 to 23 October 2013. This one-day ‘Paediatric HIV Roundtable with Industry’ brought together researchers, paediatricians, pharmacologists, regulatory representatives, NGOs, policy makers, funders from the PADO meeting and industry to identify ways to collaborate to expedite the urgent development of paediatric ARV formulations adapted to the needs of children in resource-poor settings. The outcome was a call to action, jointly endorsed by the industry and experts present at the meeting, focusing on key efforts to expedite the crucial development of paediatric ARV formulations adapted to the needs of children in resource-poor settings.
