Professor Subir Kumar Maulik is presently an Emeritus Scientist at Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi, India.
Prior to that, Prof. Maulik was a Professor in Pharmacology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India.
After obtaining his medical graduation (MBBS) from Medical College in Calcutta, he did his post-graduation MD in Pharmacology and PhD at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.
Prof. Maulik has been actively involved in both basic and clinical cardiovascular pharmacology research and mentoring programmes for the last 30 years.
His research involves scientific validation of pharmacological effects of medicinal plants, including clinical trials.
Prof. Maulik is a fellow of International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences, Canada and former fellow of Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute, UK. He has delivered a couple of orations, including the Philip Poole Wilson oration at the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), in Faridabad, India
